Potawatomi Area Council Fundraising Events

The Potawatomi Area Council hosts several exciting events every year. These events offer a chance for us to fundraise for our Scouting programs, as well as raise awareness for Scouting and its impact on our youth and communities in the greater Waukesha County area. Leadership Dinner

April 4, 2024

The Potawatomi Area Council’s Annual Leadership Dinner is a unique fundraising event where you or your business can sponsor a table and invite guests to attend to hear from a keynote speaker and learn about Scouting in our council. Some past speakers include: Green Bay Packers, Jordy Nelson; Lt. Col. Oliver North; Gov. Scott Walker; Dick Leininkugel; Green Bay Packers, John Kuhn; Mike Huckabee; U.W. Athletic Director, Barry Alvarez; Milwaukee Brewers owner, Mark Attanasio and more! Enjoy an opportunity to gather with other area leaders and receive recognition as a supporter of our Scouting programs that benefit youth and families in the greater Waukesha County area.

Sporting Clays Classic

May 10, 2024

Enjoy an exciting day of shooting events and competition at the Potawatomi Area Council, BSA Sporting Clays Classic. We host a full day of shooting events at the Waukesha Gun Club. There are multiple opportunities for supporters to sponsor and participate in this event. Each shooter can participate in an 80-clay course and there are optional shooting challenges available. Our sponsors and participants will enjoy lunch and a hors d’oeuvres reception afterward with the awards ceremony. Come join us for a “bang up time” while supporting the Potawatomi Area Council’s commitment to shaping the future of our area’s youth.

Golf Classic 25th Anniversary

The Golf Classic at the private course of Oconomowoc Golf Club has been one of the most sought-after golf tournaments in the Potawatomi Area Council area for decades. Its participants have made Scouting the premier choice for youth and families in and around the Greater Waukesha County area.

By taking part in the Golf Classic, you will be continuing a long tradition of improving the lives and adventures of Potawatomi Area Council youth and families. You’ll be giving kids the opportunity for unforgettable, once-in-a-lifetime experiences that build character and leadership skills, preparing them for life. All it takes is a round of golf for you to make a difference in the life of a Scout. Are you in?

Steins for Scouting Airtoberfest

October 5, 2024

This adult “Oktoberfest-like” event is held at Stein’s Aircraft Services (2651 Aviation Drive, Waukesha) and is easy to get to with plenty of parking. Kicking off the Oktoberfest season, Steins for Scouting Airtoberfest features Waukesha’s own, Raised Grain Beer, Umpa bands and in case you’re umpa’d out…late night headliner, Rebel Grace. Cornhole tournament, great German eats, Balloon Glow, Nail Hammering, Masskrugstemmen (stein holding contest) and more. Come raise a Stein with us!

Scouting for Pheasants

October 15, 2024

Come out for a challenging day of shooting at the Scouting for Pheasants event hosted by the Potawatomi Area Council. This annual fall special event is a chance to support the benefits of Scouting for our area youth while having fun with your friends and family. We offer a variety of sponsor and participant options to join in the shooting events throughout the day, followed by a sit-down dinner event. There are multiple raffles available to win fantastic prizes while supporting the character-building programs we offer through our local Scouting programs.

Support Scouting

One of the simplest ways you can support the scouting programs and community events we provide at Potawatomi Area Council is with donations. Any amount of money can help us fund events, activities, scholarships, facilities and the various programs we offer to guide young women and men on the right path to adulthood.
