Donate to Scouting

The Potawatomi Area Council has been a part of the greater Waukesha County area since 1931 with the help of support from our incredible communities. We depend on donations, volunteers and various types of support to shape our youth into our future leaders and provide services to our communities. We welcome and appreciate support in various forms to achieve a better future for our youth and neighbors.

Camp Long Lake  Center for Scouting

YOU can be a part of the Camp Long Lake legacy!

We’re So Close…

…with any gift, we are one step closer to breaking ground this fall.

At the heart of our Council is beloved Camp Long Lake. In order to keep our heart strong and healthy we must continuously invest in its care. Through a comprehensive assessment process we have identified that Camp Long Lake is in need of upgrading as it pertains to technology, safety and the welcoming feel to our valuable volunteers and Scouts.

Our goal is to secure $1,750,000 for a new Center for Scouting building to address these needs. This new building will cost $1,500,000 and will provide an improved camping experience for our Scouts and leaders. In addition, we will raise $250,000 to endow the building so that we can maintain it without adding additional financial challenges to Camp Long Lake and Scouting in general.

Support Scouting

One of the simplest ways you can support the scouting programs and community events we provide at Potawatomi Area Council is with donations. Any amount of money can help us fund events, activities, scholarships, facilities and the various programs we offer to guide young women and men on the right path to adulthood. We make it easy to donate now safely through our website.

Camp Long Lake

Gifts-in-kind are an important part of Camp Lone Lakes overall success each year by providing the best program for our Scouts. By controlling overall costs while continuing to improve the overall facilities is paramount to maintaining a thriving camp for future generations.

Brick Campaign

The Potawatomi Area Council is excited to invite you to become a permanent part of Camp Long Lake’s history by a commemorative engraved brick in our flag plaza. This is a unique and special way for your child, family, business or you to be honored in a memorable way. Proceeds are used to provide staff scholarships each summer to our summer camp staff.

Our Endowment fund is integral to funding our organization through the generations and ensuring we can continue to develop youth following the Scout Oath and Law. Gifts to our endowment fund and planned giving are highly appreciated and one of the best ways to support PAC.
