Exploring gives young men and women a chance to network with professionals in career fields that call to them. It is also an opportunity to meet other youth that have similar interests. The relationships made while Exploring may be the basis for future endeavors and opportunities in their chosen career field. Mentors that Explorers meet during their program can be valuable assets later in their life when pursuing their career options.
Like all our scouting programs, Exploring focuses on Scout Oath and Law to help young people build character, moral integrity and leadership skills. The Exploring program helps scouts build a solid set of values and enhances personal growth. As part of the scouting service and community engagement commitment, Explorers have the opportunity to volunteer and give back to their community.
Exploring offers valuable experience for youth that want to consider all their career options. Not only do they receive hands-on experience in their chosen field, but there are internships and scholarships available specifically for Explorers. Time spent Exploring can bolster college, work and scholarship applications, showing initiative and aptitude.
