2008 PROGRAM INFORMATION
Camp Long Lake offers a wide variety of program opportunities for Scouts of all ages. Below is the list of the programs Camp Long Lake offers. Information is also provided on requirements that must be met before partaking in the program.
Merit Badges
Camp Long Lake offers several merit badge opportunities during the week. Some merit badges do require a few requirements to be completed before camp. The list below lists the merit badges offered during the week as well as any information you may need to know before taking them at camp.
Merit badges listed with a † next to the name and in blue signify the merit badge book is required.
Merit badges listed with a ‡ next to the name and in green signify the merit badge is only taught 6th and 7th week and the merit badge book is required.

Awards
Some programs are not considered merit badges in the Boy Scouts of America, and instead they are called awards. Below is a list of awards that are offered at Camp Long Lake.

Outpost
The outpost program is for boys who are at least 13 years old. Each outpost Scouts will leave camp for one night to do activities. Camp Long Lake offers two outpost programs. They are a canoe outpost and a rafting outpost. The rafting outpost is offered only during Weeks 6 & 7 and leaves Monday evening and returns Tuesday evening. Scout will camp out on a scenic riverside campground Monday night. Then whitewater raft down the Peshtigo River for an exciting three hour adventure. Only one day's worth of merit badge program will be missed with the planned schedule. Experienced guides from Wildman Whitewater Ranch will be assisting all Scouts. Safety equipment will be provided. Scouts will need to bring swimwear and river shoes. Camp Long Lake will staff the transportation and adult supervision. The trip cost is $60.00 before May 20th or $70.00 after May 20th. All Participants must be competent swimmers.
