Welcome to the Catholic Committee Page.

I hope that this page will be your link to all that is happening for Catholics in Scouting. Check back often for news and updates. Let us know if you have any questions or concerns.

Please consider this a personal invitation to join us for our meetings. All interested parents, troop committee members and church staff are welcome.

It would be nice to have at least one representative from each district present at every meeting.

Do you know an adult who has supported Catholic youth in the troop above and beyond the usual?

Adult Training Training is available to help adults work with scouts on their religious emblems. While it is helpful for use with the Cub Scout age emblems (Light of Christ and Parvuli Dei), it is mandatory training if an adult wishes to work on the Ad Altare Dei or Pius XII emblems. Please contact Mike Moegenburg (920) 459-4027

Light Of Christ To be eligible to work on the Light Of Christ program, a Scout must be a registered Tiger or Wolf Cub Scout of the Catholic faith. To receive the Light of Christ emblem, all requirements must be completed before the Scout starts the third grade.

Parvuli Dei To work on the Parvuli Dei emblem, a Scout must be a registered Cub Scout of the Catholic faith and have completed the second grade.

Ad Altare Dei To work on the Ad Altare Dei emblem, a Scout must be 13 years of age, be a registered member of the BSA, be active in the troop/team for a minimum of 6 months, and completed the 6th grade. Older Scouts may earn the emblem if they so desire.

Pope Pius XII The Pope Pius XII emblem is a vocation-based program designed for high school and college age youth who are not yet 21 years of age, who is a Catholic member (male or female) of the BSA, and who has started the ninth grade.
