Friends of Scouting Friends of Scouting is a campaign to provide financial support to our council. This support is in the form of a pledge or donation from a company, organization or individual to ensure the financial viability of a council. Each council, including The Potawatomi Area Council, must raise all of its own funds to support its operating budget. Councils receive excellent program support from our National office but no financial support is provided.
Endowment Scouting endowment is the transfer of money or property from a donor to the Potawatomi Area Council with the stipulation that it be invested and the principle remain intact
Operating Fund The purpose of the Operating Fund is to finance the day-to-day operating costs of the Potawatomi Area Council
Capital Fund A reserve that is set aside to fund future spending on assets.
Camp Maintenance Fund A reserve that is set aside to fund future repairs of our Camp Long Lake facilities.
Campership Fund funding to provide camperships for Cub
Scouts, Boy Scouts, and Venturers from economically disadvantaged families to attend BSA Accredited Camps.
