Camping Committee

The Council Camping Committee's responsibilities fall into three catagories:

  1. Outdoor Program:
    • Plan and insure camping programs are available the meet the needs of Cub Scouting and Boy Scouting
    • Recruit, train and schedule campmastor corps to serve short-term camp
    • Support Webelos Scout camp and other outdoor Cub Scout Activities
    • Supervise tours and tour permits
    • Coordinate family camping program
  2. Conservation:
    • Establish and insure that the council follows a plan for proper use of all lands
    • Develops a conservation program to involve the entire council membership
    • Develop a unit leaders' conservation guide.
  3. Promotion
    • Promoew year-round outdoor program to achieve national standard goals
    • Promote camping literature, visual aids, promotion programs, and meetings
    • Promote OA projects
      • "Where to go camping" books
      • Camp promotion teams
    • Review High-adventure base programs
